Default O My Gosh I am Loving Lightroom!

This is just a gas! I am working my way through Scott Kelby's book, and having so much fun with my old photos.

I haven't been scrapping much because I have been scanning a lot of old photos and playing with Lightroom. I know I still have a lot to learn about PSE, too, and the Kelby book on that is next on my list, but for now, all I can say is: I am amazed at what Lightroom can do. Some old scanned photos that I thought were beyond hope are coming to life.

I am probably still quite heavy-handed and clumsy in my use of LR adjustments, but I am having a great time with it and still learning. I wasn't sure if LR would be as useful on scanned photos as on digital photos, but it seems to be.

AND, I have finally gotten all my photos organized on my computer!

I just posted a page about how much I love Lightroom here.

I love your page by the way! And I couldn't agree more!
I am happy to hear you are finding LR useful for scanned old photos - I have not scanned too many yet but plan to and it will be fun to play around with them a bit.

Slightly green with envy regarding your organization of your photos.... time, time, time.

Fortunately, I have a bit of a vacation right now-- and I have been up until 2 a.m. several nights in a row, reading the Kelby book and trying things out as I go along.

Lynn, check out all the old threads here for places you can find free presets. They are really fun too.

I love your layout Lynn, and I'm all enthused with lightroom right now too! I've been taking a digital Photography course with John Greengo who works with Art Wolfe Travels to the edge TV series. I love his method of organizing photos through Lightroom and so am doing mine by the same method.
I truly believe learning new things keeps the mind young!!

I'm loving it too. I'm taking a break from about everything to get it learned. lol. I just can't get used to not having layers.
