Question Any Tips for Hunter (Horses) Clinic Photos?

My girlfriend asked me to take photos at a hunter clinic she's sponsoring. It's horses over fences. Whether it's indoors or out will depend on the weather.

Should I just set up my tripod, focus on the fence, set the camera for sports, and the shutter on wireless? f8? 200 or 400 ISO?

I did tell her I don't have a clue, but it'd be nice to give her a few usable shots.

Thanks for any thoughts you'd care to give!

dgrin is my favorite photography forum---i can't post external links here, but go to dgrin.com and search the forum for "Equestrian Eventing Trying Something New" That looked like a good thread with tips for photographing moving horses and such---you can always try different search tips like "horses photography" and such.

Sometimes the photogs have links to their smugmug galleries at the bottom of their posts; if you click on those, then click on their photography in their galleries, you can get all the EXIF information off of the pictures.

HTH!
