Default Confession

OK - so I confess - I've had my Digital Rebel for almost 4 years & I just now bought the 50mm 1.8 lens. I don't know how I survived without this little, under $100, lens. It is wonderful for indoor pictures & portraits.

If you don't have this lens or one similar, JUST buy it! I'm already setting my sights on the 85 1.8 and the 50 1.4 (when I upgrade my camera & can pass on the 50 1.8 & camera to my daughter).

Oh, I am salivating over the 49mm 1.7 (that's Minolta's version . . . they always have to be a little different!). It's $135, though, so it requires me to save $$, which means it's not gonna happen until next fall. (I love teaching, but the no-paycheck in June, July, and August just kills me!) I need a fast lens, I don't know how I'll get through the summer without it. We'll just have to be outside all the time, I guess!

I have to say I did buy the 50mm 1.4 for my canon, and first I was getting some SUPER shots, and some not so good ones, been pracicing on shots and WOW it IS amazing, although I did spend the extra $$ on it, it was $500, where as the 1.8 was only $100ish I'm glad I got the one I did, and I'm not looking back. Although I have to say if my other lense wasn't in for getting fixed, I might not have been so patient using it...but with it being my only lense right now I have no choice, and my pics (to me) have been beautiful, and the colour amazing! It was just hard to get over the fact no zoom! Can't wait for you to enjoy yours too ladies!!

Yay! I just ordered my 50mm 1.4. Only it told me the shipping may take 1-4 weeks. (sigh) I really wanted it for my baby's first birthday. Oh, well, maybe it'll ship sooner. I can't wait!
