I use LR Laura. It really would be duplicative to use iPhoto as well. Plus tagging rocks in LR!

So you don not use iPhoto at all? Did you just import your libraries right into LR and call it good?

I only use iphoto as a source for my desktop wallpaper slideshows and to sync the photos that I want to have on my iphone.
Other than that, nada! And I don't even have lightroom yet! Just Bridge

I am a MobileMe subcriber and also use iWeb to create my website. My whole family has MobileMe so we share pics via iPhoto subscribing and MobileMe galleries. I *do* use iPhoto, but in a different way...

If I have just done a mini portrait session with my daughter or a friend's kids then I open the photos in LR first, edit, fix whatever I need in PS and then export to jpegs. For pictures of my family I will then import them into iPhoto to tag, name faces/places and can then easily export to facebook, flickr, MobileMe gallery or my blog. If the photos were of friends then they stay in my "LR Retouched 2009" file.

If I have just taken pictures of something fairly ordinary where I may need to just tweek a few things (like this weekend's trip to the cabin) I import them straight into iPhoto to tag, name, do minor adjustments and the out to blog or facebook or what have you.

I have really struggled with all this importing/exporting but I've recenly decided that the above senarios, while it looks rediculous, is working the best. If anyone has better suggestions, I'm open!

This so answers so much for me. I switched to a Mac in October and have been struggling with I-Photo. I am now considering Light Room. I don't hardly ever use I-Photo.

I like iPhoto for the beautiful photo books. Other than that, I don't use it.

Oh, and the slide shows of the photo books are great. The kids love to watch them.

The only thing I've used Iphoto for was to make a few music slideshows. But, then I only use LR for tagging. :O)
