I'm of no help. I do have the same camera, although I haven't really looked into the white balance button yet sad I know...I need a new computer with a monitor...When I print my pics at home they look good, but when I go down to the local (1) place we have in my town to print photos, they always look different, and not in a good way. If you find any solutions, let me know too!

I am of no help on the white balance part of your question, sorry.
However, I can offer my favorite monitor which I just adore - Apple Cinema HD Displays. I have had my 30" for a few years now and just love its resolution 2560 X 1600. They aren't cheap but I have never regretted getting it. |

Well, I bought one of those 18% gray cards to set my custom white balance and WOW, WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I know this camera isn't just a point and shoot and BAM beautiful pictures; I just didn't know how to set the custom white balance. I am happy I did this.
