Default Actions/Preset Questions

Hi- I am somewhat new to photography and digital scrapbooking. I keep running across downloads for PS actions or LR presets. I am currently using PSE 6 for my photos as well as ACR 5.2 for my Raw files. Are there any equivalents to Actions or Presets out there for PSE...and I would be interested in hearing whether purchasing LR is worth it and what you love most about it? Thanks in advance for any good advice or discussion!

If you do a search for Lightroom you will find a bunch of posts. I think there are quite a few memebers that enjoy Lightroom. I don't know what I would do without it! I would say I love it because it is so easy to make the adjustments I want to make without messing up the photo. The presets are so useful and they are mostly FREE!!! I just posted to see if it was worth it to upgrade here is that discussion

And, I did upgrade and it is amazing!!!! If you have a student in the house you can order it from the Academic Superstore for 98.00!

When you say you are using ACR for your raw photos, is that Adobe Camera Raw? If so, yes, there are a series of presets that I know about which you can use. The onOne software WOW presets that a lot use in Lightroom are also available in Adobe Camera Raw format.

I'm sorry, I didn't know free sites counted as retail.
