Default Crumpler revisited

To all you who have the Crumpler bag....

I have been looking at this one and I am very tempted. Debbie just got the $5M one, if I am not mistaken and it's a sweetheart.

I was looking for them here where I live, and I found a store that sells them (YEAH!!!) and they are not THAT expensive. (Everything is relative.)

Anyway, the cute ones, like the $5M ones (not backpack) - are called Pretty Boy here and come in sized from S - XXL.
Anybody know what is the difference between the Million ones and the Pretty boy? And about the Pretty boy ones - which size would fit a camera, two lenses, flash and extras (I promise I won't be puttting diapers into this bag.) ...... am I talking XXXXL here..... if there is anything like that....

Can someone please enable me too - to get a new Crumpler bag to go with the new camera when I get it???

I am interested to see the responses. I have been stocking this bag since all the CT members were talking about it during the Disney trip!

Aino, I am so confused! Granted, I don't have time to read all the posts here and I miss a lot, but $5M for a bag? Tell me its not millions, or even thousands! What is this bag of which you speak?

Lynn, I'm wondering the same thing! Seems a little pricey for a bag . . . I can't wait to find out what it is!

Hi Aino.
I don't know if you've visited the crumpler site yet but here's the link https://www.crumplerbags.com/flash/f.../products.html . It shows you the bags and what you can fit in each.
It doesn't list a 'Pretty Boy' but I wonder if you emailed them if they might tell you which is the equivalent bag name?

I have the 6 million also and I really like it! I got mine from Amazon.com at a much better price so check them out, too. This is the middle size I think and it holds my camera with a zoom lens on it, two lenses side by side and my external flash. Then it has the outside pocket for the my batteries, charger, etc and and a mesh pocket on the inside flap. I LOVE my bag, but I do know that there have been some who don't care for it. I might be worth trying to find out what people "don't like" about it also since it's not $25. :O)

I have the 4 million dollar bag and it's perfect for me heading out to sports events! Or somewhere that I only need ONE lens!

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...llar_Home.html

Next for me will be the 6 million dollar bag like Kelly and Jen have, to replace the basic black, boring Canon bag that came with my camera... it'll hold all my lens just perfectly! And, it's NOT boring!

Oh, and just so y'all know... these bags are STURDY, STURDY, STURDY! (Plus they look pretty cool! ) They are made extremely well and protect our "camera babies" perfectly! I read somewhere before I got mine that if you're a wedding photographer, you wouldn't want one because the velcro makes such a big noise! And, it's true... that velcro is sooooooo STRONG! It's really HARD to get it undone, so I KNOW my camera isn't going anywhere if I forget to latch the latch!

Soooooo, to sum it up... well worth the $$$... you will LOVE them!

I also have the 6 million that I got at amazon.com at a great price! It holds my D80 with a lens on along with 2 extra lenses and my big flash along with the little things like the extra battery, remote and other stuff. I love it!

I have the 5M and love it. It is so pretty and stylish (same colors as Debi's). But I do wish I got a bigger one. When I bought it, I had just received my camera and didn't realize how much I would invest in this hobby. It holds my camera, my 50MM 1.4, my kit lens, and speed light as well as a few smaller things... which is everything I have right now. Of course, my wish list keeps growing and my bag is running out of room!

I have a beautiful red $6Million and LOVE it! I can fit my 30D with a lens. My speedlight and an extra lens plus a wallet and a few other personal items. I carried it all over Disney World for a weekend and my only complaint is that it got heavy! (of course, it couldn't have anything to do with all of the stuff I crammed into it!) It is a beautiful bag!! I'm thinking of getting a smaller one for long weekend outings and keeping the $6Mil for photoshoots that don't require so much carrying!

Thanks Debi! Will check that out, but I think with the delivery it's not really worth it more for ME at least. But for the rest of you US people - definately!

I just bought a 3M - my little Panasonic superzoom didn't need bigger than that - with my lens hood on, it's almost a perfect fit.

These are seriously nice bags!

Just ordered the 6M from Amazon...on sale for $84 right now. I shopped all over and they had the best price. It was shipped on the same day...so I can't wait for it to show up, maybe tomorrow.

Now I totally want one but I really can't justify it, as my current camera bags -- two boring old black and blue Tamrac ones -- work SO well and are still SO sturdy. I love the look of the Crumpler, though! It seems stylish and functional. But my Tamracs are good old solid workhorses and get the job done! (no loud velcro, either....)

I'll just have to drool over all of your new bags!

Does anybody know of a "bag" just for an extra lens?? I often carry my camera out and would like a small triangular padded over the shoulder bag to carry the extra long lens. Anybody have one or know of one like this?

I have the $7 million dollar home camera bag. The colour is army green and tan with a bright green interior. I love the size and I'm glad I went for the biggest size (well in this category). I know there is a Brazillion dollar home one, it's pricey but would probably hold all equipment especially for travel. Good luck on your buying! I know I came to DD before I purchased mine. Didn't know what they were until I read a forum here. Found it on ebay a little cheaper! Fun!

Default Crumpler

Ebags has the Crumpler bags on sale in discontinued colors. I'm trying to decide between the 6 million for 65 and the 7 million for 80. Any suggestions? I usually carry my camera, a couple of extra lenses, and a flash to photo sessions. I have a bracket also, but not sure if that will fit in either bag.

Thanks!

I went with the 6 mil on Patti's recommendation... padded shoulder strap. I really like that feature. Bag itself is light but when filled it is bulky. With the dividers inside, I also have room for my wallet and a small make-up bag. I wouldn't recommend smaller if you are planning on carrying your lenses etc. Very secure too with industrial strength velcro and clip strap. 3 mil is a good size for just the camera.
