Default Lightroom, Noiseware and PSE

I am very new to Lightroom, so I have a question for those of you who use it. I have just been learning how to make edits and Lightroom and am very pleased with the results so far. After I get the photo the way that I want it, I have been choosing the "Edit in Photoshop Elements" which then opens the file in PSE as a tiff. I would like to then run things like Noiseware on the photos, but that won't work on a tiff, it has to be jpeg.

Is this what you all do? Is there a better workflow? Do you work with the tiff in PSE or do you change it to a jpeg?

Any insight would be most welcome!!

Thanks,

When I move from Lightroom to CS2 my files are opened as jpegs. I believe you can just change the setting in LR Lisa.

Edit>Preferences>External Editing...

The choice is TIFF or psd :-)

ahhh right Jen is

you will end up creating a lot of psd's in Lightroom but you can easily search and delete them when you don't use them anymore

geez...I delete them all the time, you think I'd remember

I wasn't sure if it were a PSE vs PS CS* thing.

Thank you Katrina & Jen!!! I knew there had to be some way to fix that!
When I changed the setting to psd it also had settings for color space, bit depth and resolution. I set them for sRGB, 16 bit/component and 300, respectively. Is that correct?

Thanks again!

If you plan to print yourself, I would stick with Adobe RGB (1998) and 8 bit.

No, I don't print myself. I use them all in LO's which will be printed by Shutterfly. Does that make a difference?
