Default Feeling sad...

I am sitting here editing photos of the baby shower my daughter gave her best friend this week. This girl has been Sara's support since Jeromy died (Sara's husband died four years ago this week in a plane crash), and now she is moving to Dallas, TX to be close to her mom. Nicole asked Sara to be the baby's godmother and be with her in the delivery room. It was a poignant moment to witness. I of course, had an hour or so of what if's overwhelm me before I took an Atavan and went to bed. Sara has a new guy in her life and is talking about moving to the Chicago area to be with him. Ahhh..transitions...and life goes on.

My thoughts are with you and best wishes for this time to pass and back into good memories of what has been rather than the what ifs.

Deanie- I can relate all week I just felt off and i can't put my finger on what exactly is wrong- if anything. Everything is fine, we are all healthy and such- but I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by this odd feeling.

Deanie, you have lots of reasons to be overcome with sadness at times like you're experiencing now. I'm sorry. I can tell you have much inner strength that helps you over the rough spots. May there be sunny days ahead for you and your precious Sara.

Deanie....sounds like you raised yourself an amazing daughter, to be named a Godmother by her close friend...that's HUGE!
She of course was lucky to have you & her friends for support ever since that terrible accident 4 years ago....I'm sorry for your loss and my thoughts & prayers are with you & your family at this difficult time! Hugs

Oh Deanie. I'm so sorry for the loss of your son in law. I know it must be hard for Sara to have her friend move away. I'm praying for new beginnings for you both.

I didn't see the thread until this morning and I hope you are feeling a bit better today. Wow! I can't imagine seeing a daughter hurt so badly. I am so sorry. Hope things work out for her with this new guy.

Deanie, I know that your thoughts must take a side road very often . . . especially at times like this one. A mom can't help but go over the "what ifs" of life can she? I think of your Sara often, and will offer up a special prayer this morning for you both.

Oh, I know the feeling. I miss my granddaughter soo much. I spent every day with her (almost) for three years, and then the news that they were moving to Wisconsin....(Chicago reminds me of them because when we were in Chicago for my sister in laws funeral, I got to see her). I have a new granddaughter that I have only seen a couple of times. It is very painful every day, I still cry.

Hugs to you Deanie. Having loved ones far away is just one more stage of the parental letting go, isn't it. Sometimes I think we are the ones still 'growing up.'

btw, today right about NOW is the full moon. Just sayin'
