Default Back to Civilization

We just got back from a long weekend birding trip to the outback of Eastern Oregon.
We stayed in a cozy little suite in Paisely, Oregon (pop around 100). There were no phones in the room, no Internet service, and no cell signal. (and no gas; that was scary until we found a country store 30 miles away with gas pumps!) The isolation freaked me out at first, but then I decided to just enjoy it.
The hardest part was being cut off from DD for three days!!

And I'll bet you got some awesome bird photos while you were without technology! I can't wait to see them!

I'm sure it would be good for all of us to do without Internet access and phones for a few days every so often! Your vacation sounds like a true vacation and I've always heard how beautiful it is in Oregon. I hope you'll have some pics to share!

Our cell phones didn't work while we were in the mountains of Yellowstone in Montana and the Tetons in Wyoming this past week-end. It made me nervous because I'm so used to our kids being able to get a hold of us 24/7 if they need to for some reason, but, we all survived! I had Internet access every night while on the trip.
