Default Ever had a SURPRISE VISIT????

well I am off to surprise my friend that lives in another part of the country for the week. We have been friends for 28 years and even though she has lived away for most of those years we have ALWAYS kept in contact a lot - most weeks we chat for ages on the phone etc

So -here's the surprise. It is her 50th birthday tomorrow and so her husband and I have planned a big SURPRISE. hope she doesn't fall off her chair ! I will call her tomorrow morning and then say can't chat long will call a bit later --- then as I arrive I will call ( her son is picking me up from the airport) I am going to call her as I walk in.... hahahahah .....

Spent the weekend putting a mini book together, so I am sure she will love THAT !

So, have you ever been SURPRISED like that ? I have never .... but think it's fun !

So, see you at the end of the week. I am sure to pop in from time to time though ...

Wow Sam - what a great surprise for your friend! I have never been surprised like that but the majority of my friends live pretty close to home. I actually hate surprises, like a surprise baby shower or stag & doe for me ... I would so rather know! But this plan you & her family have set out sounds fantastic! Have fun Sam

Oh that sounds like it's going to be wonderful--and so well planned out!
We're doing a similar thing to/for my dad next weekend for his 70th! He doesn't know about either!
Have fun!

Great surprise! Hope she is thrilled (bet she will be!)

I did that to my mother once. She was coming back from overseas and I arranged to fly across the country to be at the airport with my Dad when she arrived. I was calling out to her and waving to her, and even walking behind her going "hello, hello" and she just looked straight through me because she wasn't expecting me to be there!

Sounds like so much fun! My BFF's DH and I did that to my girlfriend a few years ago...he and I had spent a year concocting a plan for me to be there for their 10th wedding anniversary...part of the time with her and the other half of the time was so that he could take her away for a few days and I was going to babysit their children. She didn't have a clue I was coming. She was so stunned she just stared at me for a few minutes and then burst into tears.

well, I am here. She was at a restuarant with her dh and I walked up to her and said someone sent me with a coke ( her phone was off so that plan went out the window ) and she just sat and stared and smiled and got up and hugged me.

she couldn't believe it .... and we are having a real good girly time !

Oh, she will love it!!
On my one-year anniversary of surviving cancer, my best friend gave me a surprise party. I was SO not expecting it that I showed up in my nightgown!! (We sometimes hang out together in the evening in our jammies)
I was sitting on her couch just soaking it in and visiting with everyone, when I felt something beside me. I turned around, and there was my daughter sitting on the arm of the couch!! It was the most awesome surprise I've ever had.
You have a wonderful time, and let us know she reacts!!!
