Thumbs up Update

Thought I would give you guys a quick update with my hubby Eric's surgery & the truck.

Eric's surgery was on Friday morning for a partial shoulder replacement due to a car accident April 2007. He is doing awesome & came home last night. The surgeon was very happy with the surgery & is hopeful for the movement he will get in the months ahead. There was no room for Eric on the surgical floor of the hospital so they ended up putting him on the pediatric floor, it was pretty weird saying to the nurse "I'm here to see my husband." There was fishes on the walls, every kids movie ever made available for him & plants outside his window, way nicer than the floor that he was supposed to be on. Plus the nurses were really nice, always a bonus Its such a relief to have the surgery behind us now & hopefully Eric can soon be pain free once again with decent movement in his arm the way a 23 year old should be able to.

As to the truck, we know nothing new yet. Just waiting on the insurance to determine what they are going to do with it. Hopefully they will figure it out soon.

I have missed scrapping over the last few days & hopefully soon I can get my creative juices out again. My fingers are itching to get going Thanks for everyone's well wishes & positive thoughts these last few weeks. We really appreciate it!

Great news on the surgery, Kayleigh. Thanks for the update. I really hope you find out something about your truck soon, too. That must be so frustrating. Keep up the positive thoughts . . . everything will work out.

The most important thing is your husbands surgery and I'm glad to hear it all went well. I hope he is on the mend soon and that it all works out. I do hope you have good news from the insurance soon. Sometimes when it rains it pours. Here's to seeing more of the sunshine soon

You two have been through a good deal. I hope that means that much happiness will be coming your way now. Rehab for shoulder surgery will not be a picnic but I know that at least there is light at the end of the tunnel and complete recovery around the corner. I bet your little man makes life and these struggles more bearable. your blessing in it all.

Oh Kayleigh, I am so happy to hear that all went well. You have all been in our thoughts and prayers. I told you May 9th was a lucky day. Maisie's first birthday and we got news that my cousin had her healthy little girl that day. Good mojo day.

Saw your latest LO and was glad to see you got a few minutes to scrap.

Thanks for the update!

Kayleigh, I'm very happy to hear that Eric is doing well after the surgery. Yah! I hope he recovers very quickly and regains arm movement!

The peds floor sounds kind of cool - glad the nurses were nice.
take care!

The newest update:

So our dear escalade is gone, it's being written off. We did get a decent price for it but we have to travel about an hour & half to get whatever things may still be in it. Eric is not good with bumps in the car from his surgery, so not sure when we will go.

We did get a new truck though, that we get this week sometime. Its a Yukon, which is what we had before Eric's accident, but he has some fun features that our 1st Yukon didn't have. I haven't even seen it in real life yet, Eric just went with his dad & got it. How's that for trust in a relationship

Eric is doing pretty good. The hardest part is sleeping. He can't sleep on his sides, so hes always on his back. We are hoping for the best in his recovery.

Oh Kayleigh, I'm sorry for your truck and the distance you have to drive to get your stuff back. I really hope your new car is going to be great for you. As far as I know it's a great car! I hope your DH will recover fast and without too much pain.. I know how hard it can be to not be able to sleep the way you are used to.. it's hard! Big hugs for you guys!
