For those of you who may have missed it, Dateline did an extensive interview with J.K. last night in which she explained why she did a lot of things. The link is here http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032600/ . I finished the book last week and am now going to listen to the audio.

This might turn out to be my favorite book of the series.

It was definitely my favorite in the series! Thanks for the link to the interview. Nice to know Harry gave some lectures back at Hogwarts

This is sooo tempting.... must... not... read... spoilers :P I got the book yesterday (at a great cost, everywhere it is sold out...), started this morning to read (about 4 hours ago), and to my astonishment, I am at page 235. I never knew I could read that fast in English. I love it

And I finished it in about a day. Wonderful book, wonderful ending... love the epilogue! I didn't notice any cussing/swearing words... But well, I think I wouldn't notice anyway, because I learned English by watching movies without subtitles, hehe.

The end, where Harry walks up onto his death, wow, that was heavy. I wonder, she must have been through something like that herself, or must have had much research, because I have been there myself too, knowing i was to walk upon my death, and it was exactly like that. Brought back bad memories... but well, very good written, better than i could've ever said it. And what I also noticed, they've grown so much... also in their magic, but mostly it seems that in this book they are fully grown up.

I couldn't agree more, Aimee. That would have made me VERY very angry.

Yes, a good reminder before the next movie comes out is always a good idea I loved all these books and only started reading them on maternity leave with Lana, since the final book released just after she was born. I read all 7 books within 2 months cause I was totally addicted

Well, since this thread has rejuvenated I thought I'd add (for those of you like me who like audio books) that Jim Dale, the reader of the unabridged version of these books is FANTASTIC! I've only ever found one other who I think reads as well and it's Davina Porter who reads the Outlander series. I read those books and then listened to them as well because she was so engaging. I even found myself typing with "a Scottish accent." :O)

opps, this is Harry Potter. . . the audio books are VERY entertaining. :O)
