It is great to hear things are going so well. We are so lucky to live in a time with such great medical treatments. Sleep well. It will be lovely to have Dick home again!

I know Dick will be more comfortable at home; I hope the doctor's prescription will do the trick!

One last bit I wanted to add since I know many of you have had spouses with the same stent procedure. Dick's dr went in via the wrist not the groin. He is the only one certified in that practice to do it that way, and it certainly is easier to use a pressure cuff that is very visible rather than checking the groin area. It also allowed Dick to put his own pj bottoms on, and feel more comfortable.

It may be something to ask about if one of you or your spouse needs to get a heart stent. I'm sorry I don't know the exact name for this pathway to the heart. But it's a little factoid you may want to know someday.

I brought Dick home this am, and he's looking forward to his Weds dinner out with the guys. All is well in our household, and I'm wishing the same for all of you. Hugs!

Maureen, the relief you are feeling must be very sweet, indeed. It was not what you planned for this December, but, now you can go forward to enjoy the rest of the holiday season.

Interesting! I had no idea it was possible to use a vessel in the wrist! Thanks for the tidbit.

It is called the "radial artery" approach or just a "radial". It is becoming more and more common these days.

Fabulous news about Dick, Maureen! I've so glad that all went so well with the surgery. The news about the wrist pathway is really interesting . . . I'll tell a couple of my friends about this. Love that Dick is looking forward to a night out with friends too.
