Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Muscat (Oman)
It looks like we're going to take a little trip to the places I mentioned above in February/March...
Has anyone here been? Is there anything we just must not miss?

I've been to the Emirates but well before they became what they are today! A friend did her best gold bangle shopping in Muscat. I wasn't a gold buyer so I can't attest to that but she was and I take her word. I also liked the perfume (oils) shops and loved watching the Arab women buy by the pint what I was buying by the ounce. ;-)
btw, a friend who is now teaching in Abu Dhabi did much of her house furnishing at ...Ikea!

Have a fun time! I'm SO JEALOUS!!!! One of my very best friends is living in Muscat, Oman for a few years teaching... Miss her. It's hard having her so far away! She loves it over there, but misses home too.

I've been to the UAE! We shopped for rugs while there. Also, there was an AMAZING seafood restaurant that we still talk about wishing we could go back to. I wasn't a scrapbooker then and didn't take a lot of pictures either, so the name escapes me. If I can find out the info, I'll post back here.
One of my girlfriends lives in Dubai. I'll check with her for suggestions.

Thank You, everybody!
It looks like we're taking a (!) cruise early 2012, with my husband's parents. It starts and end in Dubai. We'll have one day in Fujairah, one in Abu Dhabi, two in Oman and four or five days in Dubai...
