Default Now that the kids...

are back in school, what are your plans for the extra time during the day... well for those of you who don't have other little ones at home! Me (during Kyle's nap times of course):

1. Scrap more!
2. Clean more!
3. Repeat step one!
4. Comment on pages more!
5. Clear some clutter!
6. Repeat step one!

Yes to all of those... and I will have the ability to edit sessions without anybody pulling me off the computer! Yippee!

Hahaha, that is exactly my plan!

Tom has a looonngg morning nap, so this morning I had planned on going shopping, but the weather's rotten so I just sat with a cup of tea and played in Photoshop.

On the other hand, he's already pretty much dropped his afternoon nap, but that's ok, gives us time to play before we walk down to collect Amy from school.

I saw a train go over our viaduct yesterday morning just after Amy had gone in to school, and I thought, I could just go on that and spend the day in Glasgow It is great to feel a bit of freedom, after Amy just being in morning nursery last year.

I love the routine of the school day (while simultaneously detesting the homework/projects! LOL!)

I tend to let everything "go" in the summertime, so I'll spend the fall just cleaning/decluttering and getting all those nagging things off my list.

I have to admit, I do like a quiet cup of coffee in the morning with *just me* here. It's like a guilty pleasure!

I totally agree. Once DH is gone too it is so peaceful and quiet! I always have plans to do a lot of things in the morning, but usually I don't get much done other than doing a page or cruising the gallery. I really need to get my act together and do some decluttering!

Even being retired with every day me-time, that first cup of tea in the am, alone, and in quiet is something special. DH is already up and in his office so I know I will have the downstairs to myself for about 30 min.

Don't know much about "me time", but that is by choice of, course. Some days it would be nice to have a quiet house, but the noise makes it more cozy! The kids have band for 2 hours on Wed., so Camp and I head to the grocery store. It's a little bit quieter then. I try to scrap on Wed. afternoons when they come home to finish their written assignments. They do know how much I love to scrap and they really are patient with me, but sometimes Brennan will come grab my face and turn it towards his to make sure I am listening!

My kids' PE class started this week, which is 2 hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays of me time! I like to do a little shopping and grab a chai frap at B&N. It's very relaxing and by the time 2 hours go by, I almost miss the little critters!

Many of you may not know this, but I am a live in, very involved in grandma. My days are broken into lots of little chunks between kiddo to dos. I have about an hour in the am between dropping off at school and taking my walk to luxuriate in a cup of coffee and DD, then it is off to bring Chase home from pre-school, then we pick up Tate at 3:40 pm, do whatever homework, today is football practice from 5:30-7:00 pm. Everyday is different, but always something going on. It certainly keeps me out of trouble. When I am at home, I spend as much time as possible with my Macbook Pro on my lap!
