Default Canon Rebel T3i Digital Camera

Does anyone have this camera?

I purchased one . . . the shutter stuck all the time . . . so I returned it. Am I making a mistake in having the company replace the T3i with another just like it?

I would love to hear from some of you who have this camera (and love it or hate it)!

Oh, so sorry, Mollie. I have had the T2i since it came out and have not had any problems. I think replacing your T3i with the same is fine . . . once. :O)

bumping this up to ask anyone with this camera if I should upgrade or to have them send a second T3i . . . I will need to call the company to see if i can do so today or tomorrow.

Mollie, have you seen what you would bump up to? When I "wore out the shutters" on my old camera they said, "Let me introduce you to our professional line." I looked at them all and the Rebel is what I went with instead of the others for one reason . . . size. The others were all so big and heavy compared to the T2i. I would think that the guys at the store would know if yours was a fluke or if they've had others come back, too. Good luck. :O\

I have the T3i but haven't used it much. I like it fine so far but I haven't had a dslr in forever (15 years?) so I have nothing to compare it to. Canons are usually reliable so I'd get the replacement and document the chain of events in case the 2nd one doesn't work out. Sorry, not much help!

Thanks for the size and weight nudge, Kelly . . . certainly a major consideration. I've used one of Canon's larger & heavier cameras so long that I guess that I am so used to the shutter speed that I've become spoiled. And, thanks for your input too "vfleslie" I am sure that if you like yours so far that it must be that I certainly got a fluke camera. The new one should arrive on Friday or Monday . . . keeping my fingers crossed that it will be perfect!
