Default A couple of really sweet book reads

This summer I read The Art of Racing In The Rain by Garth Stein & One Good Dog by Susan Wilson and they were so cute. Have any good suggestions for good hearted fun reading?

I enjoyed reading Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson. (Light, fun and heartwarming)

Oh Heather, I could go on for days! Loved "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak, anything by Giles Blunt (Canadian police detective series),"Fauna" by Alissa York (set in To and the Don Valley), anything by Maureen Jennings (Victorian To, are you sensing a theme?). I read "Malcolm X: a Life of Reinvention", by Manning Marable, a little weighty, but very well written and fascinating subject. "Northern Light" by Roy MacGregor, about Tom Thomson and his mysterious death. "Secret Daughter: A Novel" by Shilpi Somya Gowda, "Touch" by Alexi Zentner, a little odd, but enjoyable anyway and "The Hunger Games", "Catching Fire" and "Mockingjay" by Suzanne Collins. OK, I'll stop now...enjoy!

The Art of Racing in the Rain is really good. I just read "Homer's Odyssey" by Gwen Cooper. It is about a Blind kitten that she adopts and how even being blind how amazingly he lives his life. Great book!! Have also read "When God Winks " and "When God Winks at You" by Squire Rushnell....VERY good....really makes you think. They are about No coincedences in this life......
