Reggie--11 years--does not go in a crate. Rex--9 years--only goes in a crate when we go out. When we got Bailey (puppy)--Rex had not adjusted to her yet and did not like sharing a crate. So--we bought Bailey her own crate. Although they are adjusted to each other now--they still go in separate crates. Rex doesn't like to share!! He doesn't even share his toys.

Sawyer is still a puppy himself so they might like having company and sharing a crate. I would buy a crate in case (save the receipt so you could return it) but I would attempt to crate them together. It might help with the crying and whining of the new pup if she wasn't lonely ![]() Goodluck! We have three yorkies and I love them but somedays I wish I just had one!

Since getting Lucky to befriend Molly, we've made the decision to always have 2. Just introduce them before you make the decision so you know they will get on.

I currently only have one of my own, but usually have a foster dog.
2 or more are good when you have an active dog. They can wear each other out instead of you. I agree with having 2 crates. One for each. Best to train them while they are young instead of breaking them of a habit later. Please consider a rescue. There are all ages, shapes and sizes available everywhere.
