Yay! Whoo-hoo, you go, girl! I'm eyeballing one for hubby for Christmas. But Esther, really, I know you Aussies are all backwards and upside-down what with being over and down there on the other side of the world, but cozy and warm in front of a fire? It was 104 here yesterday before the heat index. It made me sweat just to read that line.

Carol, let us know how you like it. I'm convinced it's the only way to go as far as watching movies and surfing the web on the go. Did you get just the wifi package or the data package, too?

You're going to LOVE it!!! I added the DD gallery to my iPad's home page so I can check in with the gallery on the go. And did you know you can turn your iPad into a phone with the "Whistle Phone" app? I haven't quite figured it out yet, but my SIL says it's pretty cool. Have fun!

Oh sounds like the happy thunder from down under! Cool enough for a fire sounds delightful to me tho I am acutually enjoying this summer.

btw, my dh just got back from Alaska and said he ran into some issues with his iPad. (Oh, no I thought...will this get me back to saying Naw...on one?) Turns out he could not ADD a new PPT slide in the Office version he uses on it. He could edit them but not add. His future workaround will be to always have some empty dummy slides in any PPT file he's working on.

2nd issue was not being able to mail 2 Excel spreadsheets in one email. (I almost said, Oh get over it Dick! and just send two emails! but...he had a very very very slow connection up there and understood.)

Other than that he said it was an ideal travel companion, electronic i.e. but not as nice as me. LOL
