He is in hospital in annoyingly high spirits now that he has had the blood transfusions. He has a window bed with a view and the sun shines through in the morning.
But we are still in limbo. He is still undergoing tests. The hospital still has to schedule the surgery to remove the tumor and section of his stomach. He may be moved to Melbourne for surgery as the local surgeon is on holidays.
So lots of uncertainty. And sometimes using google to get information is counterproductive (pictures of tumors are NOT pretty!!).

Oh, Esther, I SOOOOO know what you mean about googling for info! I'm a "gotta know" type of gal, too, so when dh was in the hospital, I poured over medical journals trying to learn about the various diagnoses. It is enough to make you crazy, but it also helped me ask better questions. Just remember ... those type of sources tend to look at the worst case scenario because those are more interesting for the doctors, I guess!

He is out of surgery and it has gone "very well". Of course he is now in a lot of pain and feeling sorry for himself. We have to wait another 3-4 days for the pathology report. I am breathing a little easier now but I think the next 3-4 days may be the longest in my life!
