Default paper stash on consignment

I just found an advertisement for Operation Rescrap... they are having a consignment sale in my area and I think it might be a good way to "lighten up" my office. I have tons of paper supplies that are just sitting here looking for a home. I don't even have to be at the sale... just drop off my stash and hope for my 60% cut. Their suggestion is to price at 30-50%. Has anyone had any dealings with this type of sale? This group may be on to something...

Carol

I think it is a great idea!! Some of our LSS used to have "garage sales" along the same lines except you got credit at their store instead of cash. Unfortunately, those stores have all closed!
So did you do it?!? How did it go?

It sounds like a fantastic idea. You get a little back on your investment and someone else gets a good deal on paper supplies...it's a WIN/WIN!

I have never been in this kind of sale but have had a garage sale or two and I say price low if you really want to whittle down your stash.

I've sold some clothes on consignment. They do the work, I get my cut for doing nothing. Win win.

I wish they had something like that up here Carol.. I have a whole wardrobe full of stuff.. Papers/Inks/Silk Flowers/Alphas/RubOns... oh and the list goes on..

Im even thinking about selling my Cuttlebug, with all the accessories.. Embossers/Cutouts.. just have to think about the best way of getting rid of it all, and hopefully get some money back... let us know how it went for you...
