favorite podcasts

In addition to music, I love to listen to podcasts when I'm scrapping. Two of my favorites are This American Life (I seriously heart Ira) and The Moth. I also like Freakonomics.

I love discovering new ones. Any other great story telling or human interest podcasts you enjoy?

I've never listened to a podcast, Myra. My son listens to them all the time . . . he tells me that I would love them too.

I'll check back here again to see what everyone else loves. ? . . . do you just google "this American Life" and download . . .? I feel sort of dumb-bunnyish!

Mollie! Not dumb bunny! If you google This American Life, you will be able to listen to any episode online through your computer. If you are using your iPhone or iPod (I know you are all tech'd out) just go to iTunes, "more" at the bottom of the screen, then you'll see podcasts. You can also just search iTunes on your iPhone/iPod for This American Life. I've never found a better way to spend an hour on iTunes than with Ira Glass. Each week features smart, witty stories of Americana with amazing soundtracks.

My dd is addicted to so many different podcasts. She told me I had to listen to "This American Life", but I have yet to as she confiscated my ipod after her's died. I listened to a scrapping on the other night on my computer, but I can't even remember what it was.

So I am thinking I have to get myself a new portable something or other (can't decide if I want an itouch or something else???) I will have to keep monitoring this thread.

I just bought a 32G microsd card to increase my droid storage from 2G! Yay! I will check out these podcasts.

I cannot believe the Paperclipping podcasts weren't mentioned. They frequently feature DD's Ali Edwards and Anna Aspnes. There are coupon codes for savings on classes at Get It Scrapped (Debbie Hodge) and Big Picture Classes.

Love This American Life! I even started running to it rather than music ... I get lost in the stories and then I'm home! Lots of good shows on NPR!
