creating a business page in FB

I'd like to make a Facebook page for my business but am totally confused as to how to go about doing it! I've been reading that I need to create one originating from my personal page but how do I go about doing that? I want a page that I have control over and can delete unwanted comments, followers, etc. My business is child care and I'm very cautious as to who can view pictures, updates etc. I don't necessarily want it completely public with no control over it at all. Any help would be a appreciated.
