Thanks for asking this question Missy. I've been looking for some toddler apps too. I had the coloring book one (they loved it) and our one year old somehow deleted it. So thanks to Doris I know the name and have downloaded it again.

If you can find it, Zoodles is fabulous. My three 1/2 year old daughter loves it! It has games and videos. My Droid Incredible handles it pretty well. And unfortunately, my husband introduced her to Angry Birds and she loves launching the birds. She doesn't get the concept of it but she loves watching the birds fly. Both are free.

I have a daughter that will be 3 in August. She recently discovered the love of my ipad - here are some of her favorites:
Drawing Pad - (Everyone likes this one, actually!) It has markers, crayons, paint, colored pencils, stamps, and stickers, as well as lots of different colors and backgrounds you can choose for papers. It's very fun. I think it was $1.99, but totally worth it! Animal Preschool Shape Puzzles - there's a free version that has like 6 animal puzzles, and the full version (also $1.99) has 65, I think. She's a BIG fan, so I upgraded to the paid version. We also have the magnetic chalkboard game from this same company. It's a big chalkboard and you can drag plastic looking letters, numbers, shapes, fruits and veggies, and animals onto the chalkboard. When you drag them on, it says thier name. You can also change the background of the chalkboard to different colors or picture backgrounds, like a farm, pond, etc. And you shake the ipad to clear the chalkboard off. She also likes Interactive Alphabet from Piikea - teaches letters, phonics, and each letter does something fun. Like for "N" the picture is noodles, and you can drag the noodles by the chopsticks and pick them up higher and higher until they make a little noodle smiley face. Those are the ones she likes that I can tolerate, anyway!!! |

At our house the paint apps are popular - they love the one when you shake the phone to clear the screen. And to load photos and draw on them.Ant Smasher was a hit for a while. Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja are loved by all of us. ![]() And of course the coloring books. There is another one that plays piano notes when you hit colored keys - Maya liked that one too. |
