My dh is gone for the rest of the week so I can tea and scone it to my heart's delight tomorrow.

It'll all be over by the time we get to London Maureen, we don't arrive until nearly midnight Friday so we'll just watch the wedding in the morning from the comfort of our sofa at home like most people LOL!!! Nice of the government to give another bank holiday so we can be at home to watch though and I'm guessing that London will still be in party mood for the weekend!

She is stunning - so calm and poised. I think she looks amazing - love her classic style.
The ceremony was beautiful. Wishing them the best and hoping for a very successful and happy marriage.

The bride is stunning! It was a beautiful ceremony!

Loved Victoria Beckham's Louboutin's and her maternity dress!

Did not enjoy the Duke of York's daughters... Neither one of them has ANY fashion sense! Too much eyeliner, to much details on a dress and hideous hats!!!

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson should learn to walk in her heels, and that hat must have hurt her nose... Or what's left of it...

And the wife of Primeminister Cameron had not taken the size-stickers off the soles of her very expensive shoes... Isn't that part of "Wearing heels 101"?

And Princess Michael of Kent's hat, what was with that. I don't think I saw her eyes at all when she entered.

Kate is absolutely stunning! Sooo elegant and they make such a beautiful couple so obviously in love! Eugenie and Beatrice look like a pair of pantomime dames!

Beatrice's eye makeup made her look like a raccoon! And those hats -- she and Eugenie need some fashion advice.

But Kate was every inch a princess -- her gown was simply elegant. Reminded me of Grace Kelly's wedding gown.

Beatrice and Eugenie - lets not forget who is the girls mother... she never got it right either...!!!!!!!
actually loved the PM's wife's dress... but very bad form to carry your cardigan/wrap into the church! Apparently she had jewels in her hair hence no hat, but we couldnt see the jewels so that wasnt very good either! HATS people, essential at Weddings!!!

Loved the Duchess of Kent and Duchess of Gloucester's family and their clothes.

Loved Prince Harry and the small bridesmaids waving from their carriage

Chuckled when the queen got bored fast on the balcony and went in

Loving the gallery of pictures in the Guardian of the watchers on the Mall

So I woke up, turned on the DVR, brewed my coffee, and who plops down next to me on the couch urging me to fast forward to the bride walking down the aisle? My face scrunching hubby. Too funny!!! Men, they'll never admit it,will they?
Beautiful wedding.

Good to see some of us up at 0dark30 this am! It was just wonderful, wasn't it. I'm scone-d out and need some lunch salad and a nap. I did take a pedicure break after the balcony cleared.

That dress was absolutely gorgeous! I love the "new look" of Burberry's in recent years! And I think the shoes might have been from the same place...

I'm taking the HATS-comment with me... I'm attending a wedding in Scotland in December and I don't know yet what time of the day the service will be at...
It's a 3-day affair at a very nice and cosy hotel outside Oban and I'm already having a meltdown when thinking of planning and packing 3 (!) outfits!!!
My husband has promised the bride that he will wear a kilt on the day of the wedding...
Let's just say that I'm looking forward to the photo-ops!!! ;-)

Claire is too funny - first time in ages she has agreed to come out to visit with some of my friends - but the promise of seeing the wedding on a big screen at my friend's place was just too much for her! Now it's Saturday Morning and she is watching all the commentary and reruns on the tele with great glee. She was VERY impressed with the "Cinderella" coaches!! I have to say that seeing Prime Minister Gillard on the big screen was alo a highlight - some would say that its just as well that woman has at least one supporter!!

I thought Juila did us proud last night. I thought she looked very elegant and I love her hat.

I was up at the crack of dawn and sat peacefully in my pj's and photographed the wedding as if I was the offical photographer, LOL It was a beautiful ceremony, but I think my favorite part of the day was the second kiss. It was unexpected and so romantic, ahhh true love, has a way of making a person all warm and fuzzy on the inside.

I watched Princess Diana wed and now her son, I can only hope that I will be around to see her grandchildren wed as well. It was a brilliant wedding and brought tears to my eyes!

For once Sam, she did look like she had a stylist, I think as A PM normally she is quite bad, and needs a damn good stylist, but she did look lovely at the wedding, and for once she looked quite smart....

I can echo all of your sentiments! It was SO Cinderella - complete with the ugly step sisters (cousins). I kept expecting the footmen on the coach to turn into mice and run away!

Speaking of kisses, another fellow scrapper some of you may know, Petra from NL, sent me this video of a Dutch royal wedding Wilem and Maxima. Now these are kisses! If you enjoy this, check the video to the right on the YT page for the Wedding Vows. Such emotion!

btw, I was fortunate to have someone visit me this am and help polish off the scones I made. Phew! Thought I might have to eat the rest of the recipe by myself.

I must be very British - ie, 'british reserve' - because those kisses were just right for public affection thank you!
