Talking 12 hrs UPDATE

Hi all,
Firstly, a massive thank you to everyone for their good wishes and prayers..
My husband finally rang me at 1.30pm to say he was in an ambulance on his way to the airport, luckily, my daughter said, mum, we wont leave until around 3pm which will give him time to get down to Brisbane (she had more sense than me yesterday, as I wanted to jump in the car and go straight away) we arrived in speedy time around 4pm and we sat for another 2 hrs until he finally arrived, large as life, suntanned and smiling, being pushed into the cardiac ward by the ambulance guys, monitors stuck all over his hairy chest, 'Hi babe' was his first words, I could have killed him.. but, I was overwhelmed to see him, and momentarily fell in a little bit of a heap.. we couldnt go to his bedside, until they took all his vitals, hooked him up to the monitors, more shaving of his chest, even more monitors stuck on him, needles in both arms, but we could stand at the main door and see him making everyone laugh, he kept trying to lift his head and look over at us, smiling and trying to wave.. OMG, I LOVE that man! Sam and I looked at each other and had a few little tears.. we are so lucky, we kept saying to each other..
Finally they let us go to his bedside.. a few kisses here and there, holding hands, while I gave him a tiny bit of a lecture, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING...
We sat with him for a couple of hours, and hung around until the doctor came.. She said that he did have a small heart attack, but they think he has an infection in the lining surrounding his heart.. within the next couple of days they will be doing an angiogram, and echogram, to see whats what.. so at the moment, he is stable, in no pain, happy, smiling, and keeping the staff on their toes.. 'Oh, this is going to be fun' was one nurses reaction on treating DH..
Will keep you posted... and thanks again for all your kind words, it really means alot...

Phew! You had me worried too Janet. So much so that I told my dh the story, and told him to BEHAVE and take it easy. I also reminded him of how much I love him and would miss him. Think he'll heed that for a bit?

Love to you and Sam. Oh those nurses are in for it!

Thanks for the update. Don't be too hard on him, he can't help it, he is a man! This is what I do for a living (the cardiac bit, not defending men) and believe me, I have heard much worse stories!

He sounds like such a fun guy Janet! I am so glad he is doing so well, a small heart attack we can live with, right? Could be a lot worse! Keep us posted about his progress, I'm sure is going to be awesome!
