That is something I should do as well. I have so much, and like you, I know I will never go back to paper. Let us know how it sells. The 24-70mm is the next lens I am getting as well. Good luck!

Oh, Kelly, I find it exciting to know you are going all digital! It's a very freeing experience to have all your supplies on your computer. Best of luck as you dig deeper into photography and digital scrapping.

Right... I totally just want to get rid of it ALL, but might keep some for my girls to play with. I really don't touch any of that stuff except for adhesives, a tiny hole punch or a paper cutter. My husband sold a few things on Ebay. That was nice... but what to do with all that paper, alphas and embellishments? I hate to even look at it anymore. Not going back. You can do so much more with digital. I just *wish* I'd only found digital 3 or 4 years earlier!

YAY!! I know just how you feel. I've unloaded about 80% of my paper stuff, but DARN!! I am finding it completely impossible to give away my Basic Grey paper. Just can't do it!

I did the very same thing and bought the 24-70mm lens! I had a garage sale and posted a notification on Craigslist. My paper was gone by NOON!!!! I think I made nearly 800.00 that day. I kept a few things for my kids to use in their art studio but I felt hundreds of pounds lighter saying goodbye to all those paper supplies.
I went to a crop and it was so freeing to get there... start scrapping and then putting my laptop back to walk out as everybody spent hours setting up and tearing down! I felt so efficient!

I did the same, and now, I only have one more large tote of things to sell!! Good Luck! I sold mine to an aquaintance and then to someone who responded to a craigs list ad. I sold my stuff pretty cheap, I am not good at getting a good price for anything. I always cave in.

For those of you who have a scrapping group, once a year, my scrapper girlfriends and I host a huge craft sale in a "garage sale happy" town (I have had NO luck with garage sales where i live). We each haul over 2-3 tables and set up shop. We mark our items w/our price and initials and one person "checks" and keeps track of who sold what. Our first year, we did amazing- at least $250 earned per person. It was MADNESS!!!
Since then, we've made less and less each year, but still have our "regulars". We all were at one point or another demos for CTMH, Stampin' Up! and Memory Works and had a lot of "retired" stuff. If you have a group of friends, then I'd recommend doing a group blowout sale and advertise in the local papers as well as Craig's List, church bulletin boards, schools, etc if you want to really earn some money from it. I am 3 months away from being "fired"? "retired" from Stampin' UP! and am pretty sure once that happens, I'll be able to part with most of my stuff regardless if it's current product. Except I will keep my Basic Grey! I am just not sure how I want to sell it off. Ebay is a lot of work but good money, Craig's list is easy, but rock bottom prices. The blowout garage sale might be my best bet but crowds here are dwindling. So unsure what to do!!! |

That sounds FABULOUS, Denise! I should try to give my husband some more things to sell on EBAY! I'm willing to part with my Basic Grey. I've got a TON of it... stickers and all! It's pretty, but i feel like I'm just not going to use it... can see myself sitting down with all the cutters and sticky stuff and crafting pages....... NOPE! I've gone digital and that's that. Anyone want some Basic Grey? I've got lots!

Basic Gray has gone digital, too. They keep adding their to their available kits (all the way from the Sublime papers) constantly. So, if you can't let go of those papers, think about checking out their website.
I always loved their designs, but honestly? Could rarely figure out where to use them in my own paper layouts!

@Bailey, I'm with you. I did paper for a long time but because I was on so tight of a budget, I never had more than about twenty sheets of paper, one roll of adhesive, two pairs of scissors, and a few sheets of stickers. I took my photos to my local store and chose paper and embellishments on the spot and never bought more than I would use. When I went digital, I had six sheets of paper to give to my daughter, no adhesive, and no stickers.
@Jen, isn't that an awesome feeling? I go to crops where I'm the only digiscrapper, and these women sit one to an entire conference table, with thousands of dollars of supplies all around them. It takes them an hour to move all their stuff in, and at least two hours to pack it up and haul it to their cars! Even when I used to bring my desktop computer to crops, everything still fit in one of those big Rubbermaid tubs, so I only had one trip in and one trip out. I know a lady who estimates she has $8000 worth of supplies, and she brings it ALL with her to every crop, and in the six years I've known her, she has not completed a single album. In fact, I have never seen her do a page. Every time she's at a crop with me, she spends all the time organizing her supplies. ![]() I'm not knocking paper crafting at all, don't get me wrong. It's beautiful, and the people who do it, I envy. It's not for me, and I'll never be good at it. But two particularly frosty women (they're not friendly at this particular crop, but it's the only one in town I'm allowed to come to with a computer) spent several hours trying to figure out how to use this new acrylic paint (why you'd put that on your pages with your photos, I'll never know), and I watched them, then turned and achieved the same effect in PSE in about 10 minutes. They saw the computer and started whispering. I looked at their table, calculated about $200 for all the paint and brushes, and felt happy.

@Sarah-- Be glad you didn't have all that crud! I felt embarrassed and foolish when I spread it all out and catalogued it-- and ashamed to have spent so much money and used so little product. I have done much, much better with accumulating digital supplies, although all the VERY talented ladies here make me think I need it all!
