Default Answering the American Girl doll questions

I had a couple of questions about Libby's American Girl doll on this layout - dearest libby.

It is THE coolest thing for daughters who have not quite outgrown their dolls! It's called the "My American Girl" and you can design her yourself at the American Girl website.

They offer options for hair color, eye color, skin color, freckles, glasses, braces, short hair, long hair, wavy hair, straight hair, layered hair, etc......

And there is an online password to give her a virtual life - kind of like Webkinz but for the 10-11 year old girl. Libby LOVES her doll!!!!! And I can't believe how much she looks like Libby.

My daughter loves her AG too! I'm NOT telling her about the site.... She'll be stealing my computer! But she didn't get a design your own doll. Hers was just a random doll. So i'm not even sure she could do the computer thing. But LOVES the store and dressing her doll. She's only 5!~

my oldest has a doll and the bitty twins from quite awhile back and she still loves them, although they have been put away for Chloe for next year.

I just saw this thread and clicked on your layout, Steph! Fabulous page . . . the doll and Libby really do look so much alike. We have given our almost 8 year old granddaughter two dolls . . . and I actually have one of my own here to use for a sewing model! I didn't know about the virtual home for the dolls . . . I will tell my daughter about it.

My one gd was into American Girl for a while...still may be...and my dil told me not to buy any of the $$$ outfits etc because there was an outlet - perhaps in VA. If it's in VA there's sure to be another one somewhere. I'll ask her about it and let y'all know.

So sorry. My dil says she doesn't know of an outlet so obviously we had a communication breakdown sometime.

However, in googling it I see that there is an outlet in Oshkosh WI American Girl | Frequently Asked Questions. I don't know how good it is as one review says the dolls are not on sale. I think the company knows its market quite well!

My girls had them too, that is, they still do but they don't really play with them anymore. I have an attic full of AG stuff!

Thanks Maureen - I thought it might be too good to be true. I don't see us heading to WI any time soon. Oh well!

Bailey is slightly into AG dolls, my mom really wants it to be something they can share. The first time we went to the Dallas store, I thought I had stepped into a Pepto Bismol bottle and I almost had a panic attack. So many little squealing girls . . .

For those looking for the online world for girls, it's only for the MY American Girl dolls - not the historical dolls. Just wanted to clarify that.

Oh my gosh, an outlet would be amazing!!!

Emily is turning 13 in two weeks ( ) but still keeps all of her AG dolls and accessories in a huge tub in her room. Usually, she lets Libby pull it out and play with them alone but sometimes I catch her in there with Libby.

Hey Steph... I even have fun dressing my daughter's AG Doll! The clothes are so cute! If I could, I'd buy her the whole store! We love going there! (Did ya see me AG Christmas pages?) They have a huge store at the Mall of America in Minneapolis.

Love your AG pictures - such pretty little girls. There are lots of patterns out there that fit the AG dolls. I've made a few matching outfits for my gd and her doll. They are well made, beautiful dolls.
