It was 4.2 - just enough to make the beds and walls jiggle.

Scary stuff! I'll take hurricanes anyday -- at least you get some warning with them.

Well, that's an unexpected way to wake up. Didn't notice anything here in Ohio.

I thought I did, but it turned out to be a plethora of snowblowers instead....seriously, I don't know what I would do if I really felt an earthquake, glad you didn't have any damage Steph.

I haven't been home since yesterday morning and hadn't heard about the quake. So glad that it wasn't any worse that it was . . . but an early morning bed shake would scare the socks off of me too!

I guess I should have been scared but it was over so quickly and the girls were so excited about having felt it that I really wasn't scared. Elizabeth was just thrilled when she found out it was a real earthquake and that she had been right. LOL! Although that was the second one we've had in the past 3 years and that is just weird.

Isn't this the second one in the last few years? We love in the "zone", Jackie is 15 and she has felt one minor bit of activity. Funny.

these little ones feel so strange, don't they? we felt a tremor in the city where i live a few years ago. the quake was centered in OHIO, of all places! i was sitting at my dining room table, and i thought i heard a big gust of wind heading for the "weather corner" of our house. i could hear it coming, but instead of just rattling the windows, as our strong winds sometimes do, it felt like it reached the house, and instead of dissipating, went right UNDER the house (and my chair!) and continued on. so weird.
