Default West Coast ladies check in!

Watching all this crazy weather and flooding that's going on throughout the west coast and hoping that everyone and their families are getting through this okay.

I was thinking the same thing when I listened to the news yesterday. I hope everybody is okay!

I just looked at the weather and it has rain listed every day for the next week....blech....but that's not unusual here. No problems here to speak of yet

Thank you, Katie!! The Oregon coast is getting a lot of rain, but nothing scary. The worst of it is to the south of us. I, too, am hoping that our DD family in California are all doing well.

Nah, here in the San Fernando Valley it isn't bad--we only have small rivers in the gutters and lakes in the intersections. The Valley doesn't have a very good drainage system! But when it stops for a bit, like it did today, the water drains away within a half hour. It's kind of like living in a giant bathtub that needs a big infusion of draino!

Is Debi (beehive50) near San Diego? I saw some flooding shots on the news near there. Hope everybody is high and dry.

Everything's okay here in my part of the Bay Area. Southern California is really getting the worst of these storms....

The news footage is unbelievable. I hope all you California ladies are doing well and not adversely affected by the weather. Merry Christmas to you all.

Linda, thanks... I'm actually about an hour north of San Diego. But, very often, our weather patterns are the same here in Newport Beach! And, this last week, they sure were!

About the same here in Orange County... or at least where I am! Funny, I was 'up close and personal' with one of those "intersection lakes" when walking Kyna in the (light) rain on Thursday night. She saw our neighbor walking his dogs (her pals!) and bolted, pulling me right off the curb into about 12" of water... thank goodness I didn't fall! And, can I say that running shoes are NOT waterproof! LOL
