Default Dad's Liberated!!

Just wanted to let all my friends here at DD know why I've been more quiet than usual this last week. My Father, who has been ill for two years and bed bound for one of those, slipped peacefully in his sleep into what I call the Atmosphere of Love last Sunday. Meaning.... his funeral was this week.

If you have been hanging out here at DD a while, last year you may have seen the series of pages I did about his life. Being able to make those pages and have them at the funeral was a real comfort to my Mother and the rest of the family.

I love the support and friendships I have made here at DD and I just wanted to let you all know what happened.

You know I'm thinking about you and your family, Patricia. I love the way you phrase things; Atmosphere of Love sounds like slipping into a warm cocoon. And I am sure your beautiful pages were very much appreciated by your family.
Hugs to you.

Patricia, I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved dad. An 'atmosphere of love' is such a beautiful phrase. I believe as he was cared for over these past couple of years he knew he was then too in an 'atmosphere of love' with his family. How wonderful you had the memories and pages to share with others.

Patricia I am so sorry to hear you lost your dad!! I am sure your lovely pages were a comfort to your family! Please give her my condolences as I know how hard it is to lose a spouse as it will be 9 years Dec. 15/01 that I lost my husband. The holidays seem to be the hardest even though you miss them each day!! Thinking of you.

I'm sure it was hard to give him up Patricia, especially with the memories of 'what was' for all of you. Yet I do believe that you are right. He has been liberated into that Atmosphere of Love that encircles us all, but especially you and yours. Hugs.

So sorry for your loss ... You and your family are in my prayers. The pages you made of your father's life were wonderful and I know that they brought much comfort. My father passed away this past summer just six weeks after my 3 sisters and I held a 50th Anniversary party for them. I had made a book for that occasion and my mom still looks through it.

You and your family has my deepest sympathy. It is always tough to lose someone you love and to do it during the holiday season makes it doubly painful. My heart goes out to you and your lovely mother.

Patricia, your dedication to your parents during this difficult journey is a beautiful example of a daughter's love. Through your pages, we have watched you love well--the generation ahead of you and the younger generations! Please know that I hurt for you and your family. At the same time, I am thankful to hear of your Father's liberation. ((HUGS))
