Major Setback for Bekah

We pray that the doctors are wrong now. Our dear physician friend reminds us often that, in the end, "Drs. don't know sh*t." He has already seen his share of the unexplainable, aka miracles.

This is Kate..
I just wanted to put a quick note asking for much prayer for everyone in the family. Sharlah spoke with the kidney doc at PCH yesterday and those docs feel that her kidneys will not recover from the trauma caused with the bleed. They hope that they are incorrect, but in their opinion it is very unlikely. They were initially planning to do a biopsy of the kidneys to establish the damage done, but they do not feel that is necessary based on what they've already seen. This will mean permanent dialysis unless she receives a kidney transplant.

I know they must feel very defeated with this news. Dialysis is three days a week and can only be done in the morning. This will impact every aspect of the "normal" life they were hoping to eventually obtain again. Please pray for peace with this new realization, strength in the new road that lies ahead and anything that God lays on your heart. Thank you!

Maureen, I just read this on her journal this morning. This is so sad. To come so far with the transplant---and not having trouble with it---then to have this kidney problem, has got to be so discouraging. Dialysis is a major life-changing event, for sure. We'll pray that she can be a good candidate for transplant. Praying for her and her family.
