Thumbs down Told ya it was a full moon!

I knew it was today, and when CathyZ, the exercise maven, didn't feel like putting her shoes on this a.m. I knew the world was tilted. I had come back from the gym by then and my heart rate was about 10-15 pnts higher on all the machines which was weird. Safely high but unusual.

Then as I had just checked that the actual full moon was 10:18 a.m., Dick walked in to tell me his tale of woe.

He had to take an online security course for NASA. He said he was #*#^%-ing around for 3 hrs this a.m. trying to use three different browsers - Safari, Firefox and IE. (NASA doesn't support Chrome.) It finally turned out that he, diligent little geek that he is, has the latest version off all three (4) browsers but NASA's program can only be viewed in earlier aka out of date versions.

It sure is always somethin' isn't it! Thank you Gilda Ratner for imprinting that on my brain!

Yep, the moon was so full last night that it was like having a street light on outside. The kids at school yesterday? Wacko!

You know, I always thought that the talk of "full moon" behavior was rubbish....and then I became a nurse.
The crazies come out, weird things happen, the ER is jumping all night, and it wouldn't be surprising to have someone code. There are usually many more babies born too!
I wonder if it really increases or we are just more aware of odd things happening b/c it's a full moon?!

It's unexplainable, and absolutely true - in the police business too! Last night I had the misfortune to work phones. UGH. Today, I claimed radio just so I can have some fun!!

Sarah, i've always wondered that too...

Before I retired, I was in education, and we could always tell when it was a full moon. The kids were off the wall.

Well I've had an afternoon of drama with a lecturer who seemed to go a bit nuts, lot's of nasty emails - I really wanted to email her back and ask if she had gone crazy because it was the full moon...but then I thought better of it...I'll wait till later then go howl outside her window!

I can always tell when there is a full moon by the way that people drive... I have a fairly long commute to work and when there is a full moon I often feel like pulling over and walking.

"NASA's program can only be viewed in earlier aka out of date versions"

This does not give me a lot of faith in our space program!

I have noticed odd behavior in people also, it's a strange phenomenon for sure!

Maureen, this thread has me laughing, since I see the difference in ME! I'm a little whacky during this time of the month. Used to think it was PMS but I'm far too old for that now. So, after a particularly wierd Susie day, I'll be driving home and look up and there it is...a full moon.

To all who wonder if it is an urban legend or reality. The Veterans Admin had once tracked this and yes, they found they did get more calls and complaints on a full moon. Friends managing restaurants agreed that food orders didn't follow the usual predictable patterns. Police and emergency personnel can track their incidents also.

You know the moon affects the tides, so why shouldn't it affect us who are made up of so much water.

btw Elena, the fed govt is always behind in software etc updates because it takes appropriations $$s to make a system wide change. When I was a fed, I was always at least one operating system behind.
