So loved this and I have to add an image for the decade of the 90s!! Here is my inspiration to live life fully! My Mom at 90 winning in her event at the Pen Women of American Art show.
With a daughter in her forties and an grand daughter now 3 and me almost 60....this gift from Elena to us all is a great review of how to move into life beyond the mirror!! Thanks, my sister!!

Yep, my mom painted the painting of her Mom writing the scrapbooks and diaries we have since 1906. It's genetic.

I think I'm at 80 already. I hardly ever look in the mirror (except for taking self-portraits, hah!), and when I go out, I have a distinct feeling of what I look like. And it's not even close to my not-brushed hair, my porridge stained clothes, lousy old shoes or whatever. Funny really, how I can think much better of myself than what the mirror says.
