Default MOVING...and WEDDING in 30 DAYS!

So I just got off the phone with my fiancé. We had a wedding date set for August 14th. His command moved up his orders to go to California (we are in MD right now) so we leave for California in 30 days...not 5 months. Oh and our wedding...yea that has to happen sooner then that....yikes!!

Oh the military life...

Oh my goodness, have you got everything about ready anyway? Your dress?

Heck, you'll have to rebook everything, and there might not be vacancies where you've booked. Oh my goodness. Well the important thing is a bride a groom and a minister.

I see from the layout you just posted that you have your dress, so that's a blessing. Hope all your other wedding plans will fall into place.

And so it begins ... ;-) I'm sorry about the abrupt change in orders and the wedding! I know how frustrating that can be. If you ever need to "vent", there are plenty of military wife veterans here to commiserate with! And I'm glad to see that last line in your post. At least you know what you are getting into! ;-)

Blessings, and do let us know how it goes!!

Good luck with your wedding plans.. I'm sure it will be hectic but in the end the only thing that matters is that the two of you are together... besides, afterwards, the stories of the craziness should make for some excellent pages :-)

I'm sure your wedding will be lovely. Hope you have help in finishing up your packing and all the final wedding details.

P.S. I love what you have written about "distance" in your signature.

Goodness!! Lucky you've settled on the dress!! I guess there won't be much time for scrapping, then, in the next 30 days! I hope it all falls into place for you, and even if you have to take shortcuts have a wonderful day!!

I think the best thing about your situation (other than that you're in love and about to get married) is that with your wedding rushed you won't feel the need for perfection in all things that ruins so many weddings for so many people. KWIM?

Just keep that up=beat outlook. It'll go a long way toward making life happy for the two of you. You have to stay flexible no matter what the situation is, and the military is a good way to stay in practice. Good luck with the wedding move-up, and best wishes for a long and happy marriage.
