Sigh..another downturn for Bekah

Bekah was progressing but first it was one lung collapsing, then the other, and now both have collapsed, she has pneumonia and is back on dialysis because she isn't urinating. This was the roughest part to read..."She was fighting too much when they lightened the sedation, so they did sedate her again. Sharlah had to endure seeing Bekah with tears because they had to restrain her hands so she wouldn't fight the equipment. "

So much suffering...our hearts break as we think of our children Sharlah and Rich watching their child go through this. I can hear the calm of the ocean right now and wish I could send waves of recovery to all who suffer. Thank you all for keeping Bekah in your hearts. xoxo Maureen

When I sent a prayer request for Bekah to all of my friends, one sent this spot to me and asked if this was the same little girl. I see it is. I have been following Bekah for some time on her Caringbridge site and am so disappointed with how things are going. It just breaks my heart! I feel like I have always know her, and though she is 5 and I 62 I think of her as a special friend. I am still praying for your whole family that god will see us all through this. Thanks for keeping us updated Maureen. It must be incredibly hard to do but we appreciate it so. It's so hard to see anyone suffer but especially children. I think of Bekah daily. I hope and pray that things get better quickly.
