I showed my butterfly page to the art show director this morning and she loved it and approved it for entry. Now I need to figure out how to hang it.
I have no restrictions on the print medium except it needs to be ready-to-hang. Since I can't sell it, I don't want to put a lot of $$ into it. I'd like to stay around $20. Square frames are impossible to find (except for the flimsy metal ones) and they are expensive to have made. So I think that's probably not an option unless someone knows of a custom frame website that has really good deals. I can go as small as 8X8 but I don't want to go smaller. My other thought was to have a canvas wrap done, but I can't find a small size for less than about $75. So that's not an option. I found a website that shows you how to print your photo onto transfer paper, then transfer the photo to white muslin and wrap that around a canvas or wood frame. It looks pretty easy. Other than these ideas, does anyone have an idea how I can display this page? Thanks! Sarah

Sarah, check out canvas people dot com, they have an offer for a free canvas print, you just have to pay for shipping.
I have found 8x8 wood square frames at Target that are reasonally priced. Just looked at your page, it's beautiful!

Sarah, you might consider a "floating" frame-2 pieces of glass in a regular frame and you put your art work between them. It wouldn't have to be the exact size either-the empty glass becomes a mat. Of course, the wall where it is to be hung will make a difference, too.

The CanvasPeople promo charges $20 for shipping, so it would be almost $30 for the 11 X 11 print. That's a great price for something I want to keep, but this is a throw-away in a fundraiser event, so I think I'll use the promo for something else. When the art show is over, I have no idea what I'll do with it.

I have gotten a sheet of (12in x 3ft x 1 in) styrofoam from Hobby Lobby ($7), cut it to a 12x12, and pasted a 12x12 linen print that I got from scrapbooksplease.com ($5). I then took ribbon to cover the sides. Everybody was floored when they find out it's not a canvas! You have to watch your adhesives as some eat the sytrofoam and others puddle and distort the photo. I used a spray adhesive for the the photo (this does eat the styrofoam but it still sticks) and I used a special foam glue (found at Hobby Lobby) to glue the ribbon. I found that elmers glue held, but distorted thing too much. HTH!

I tried to order the free canvas from CanvasPeople, but the shipping was almost $20, so I didn't go that route. Michael's did have 8X8 wood frames, but they were black and dark brown, not quite right for this. Had they white, I would have gone that route. I took Joey's advice and bought a piece of self-adhesive 1/2" foamboard at Michael's, and I've ordered a 12X12 linen print from ScrapbooksPlease, then I'll adhere the print to the board and mount. The print shipped Wednesday, I should have it by next week. The cost of the print, shipping, and the foamboard wound up being $9 total. It seemed a good deal. I'll post a picture of it when I've got it done. Thanks, everyone!

My print came yesterday---it is really beautiful. I ordered the linen print from ScrapbooksPlease and it is gorgeous. Just right for $4.99! Not too flimsy, not too fancy. I mounted it on foamcore and trimmed it down. I had to have it entered today, so I'll take a picture of it on the wall at the show and post it. It is a really nice option to canvas printing or framing if you don't want to spend very much. I put it on my mantel over the fireplace and leaned it up against the wall, it looked very nice.
