Oh Joni, I am so so sorry for your loss, I was wondering what had happened to you! You were so kind when my DH was having his surgery! I can't even tell you what to do about the photobook, but I think it will come to you in due time! I am just glad you joined us again. I hope things are working out for you and you will be able to work through this incredible loss.

Oh, Joni, I remember you, too! I'm so very sorry for your loss and I'm so glad that you have come back to something that you enjoyed doing. I agree with the others that a memory book could be wonderful therapy. I don't think I'd even try to plan it. I'd just start with one picture and then another. It will all come together. :O)
All the best to you and I look forward to seeing you in the gallery.

Oh, Joni, I'm so sorry to hear this sad news about Boyd. I've been missing you; I knew you had moved, and I thought maybe you were just really busy with your new house. I'm sorry that was not the reason. But I'm glad you've returned to DD because I always enjoyed your pages. I hope creating an album about Boyd will be much-needed therapy as you continue adjusting to life. I like Kelly's idea about starting with one picture after another. You'll find your rhythm. And we're always here when you need to talk.

Joni, so sorry for your loss. I am sure the DD community will be a big support for you, and I believe that making a memory book about your husband will be great therapy and help you on your journey forward. My thoughts are with you as you start that journey. I am sure there will be tears and laughter for you, but most of all I wish you healing and peace.

I'm so sorry for your loss Joni. But welcome back. My only advice would be to not push yourself ... just do what feels right for you at the time.

Joni, I am so sorry for your loss. Grieving is different for everyone, so take your time and do it well. I started scrapping after our SIL died and Sara (our daughter) was running from crisis to crisis. It really helped me alot.

Oh Joni, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I'm glad you have come back to DD where we can support you as you embark on your book. I agree with the above posts - take your time, start where you want to start. It may be a small memory like your DH's favourite drink or song. It will come, just give it time...

Joni, I am so sorry to hear you lost Boyd. You know he still IS your biggest fan and I bet in time he will help you write some of those pages.

I think there have been a lot of good suggestions and I'd just echo that I don't think there has to be a plan for this. Maybe just do a page from a photo, then one from a memory that ends up being almost all journaling, just do it when you feel you can. Ali Edwards taught in her Yesterday and Today class that all stories don't need photos. Some stories can just be told in 6x12 layouts or even a 12x12 that is 2 columns. There are no 'hafta's in scrapbooking!

So sorry for you Joni. I am very glad you came back to DD, and Hopefully this wonderful community can help in any way that we can. There have been a lot of wonderful suggestions already of how to create pages to remember Boyd. I would like to add that you shouldn't feel pressured to finish any right away- it took me over a year to be able to finish what I worked on for my cousin, and I am glad that I didn't rush it.

Joni . . . I too remember you well . . . I remember the times when Boyd wasn't doing well and then the great progress that he was making. I cannot imagine the devistation that you must be experiencing without him by your side. It is wonderful that he was you biggest cheerleader as you scrapped away . . . I would think that will make scrapping more therapeutic as you slowly find your pace in beginning again. I'll bet that Boyd would love to know that you will return to a craft that you love so much.

I also remember that you are an avid reader . . . a kindred spirit of mine! I've been lagging in books since around Thanksgiving . . . so maybe each of us can find a new one to pour ourselves into soon.

I am sending my sympathy to you and your family in the loss of your handsome Boyd . . . I also send hugs and prayers to you.

Joni, I'm sorry for your loss. I just happened to check the forums before heading to bed tonight when I saw your post. I had lost my husband too (many years ago, when I was 29 and he was only 33) but the coincidental part is that I am working on a memorial book right at the moment I read your post. I'm finding it very theraputic. I want to pass the memories I have of him down to my girls since they were very young when he died. I just gathered up every single photo I had of him and started scanning away. After I had all of them sorted I started laying them out using using Katie's Create a Book Posted Collection templates. I'm not worrying about papers or any embellishments at this point. My goal is just to get all of the photos organized in the book first. After I have that done (I only have 1 one more page to go) then I'll go back and add the papers and embellies along with some quotes. Take it one page (and day) at a time. Welcome back

Joni, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember you speaking about his time in the hospital- just start on something small and let it grow from there. Don't push too hard, it will all fall into place. Peace be with you.

Oh Joni, my sincerest condolences to you. As for your scrapping, use it as therapy, use it to laugh, use it to cry, use it to help you heal. And just start wherever the mood takes you. Scrap everything, so that his memory and life lives on through your words for all the future generations to know him. {{hugs}}

I have no advice for you, but want to say: I remember you, Joni. And I am so very sorry for your loss. I'm glad you're back and trust you will know, little by little, how to use your craft in your grieving.
