The idea of a wall hung toilet (no base to be peed on!) seems to be new to many of you. DYL Remember the Loo - Digital Scrapbooking Ideas - DesignerDigitals
When we renovated the kitchen/house we added a small bath to replace a powder room that was taken out. The room is only 5x6' apr (I forget the exact dimensions) but the walls are tiled and the toilet is a wall-hung Geberit. There were very few available then...2004-5. This is an example of a current one, though the actual toilet looks very much like the one we have, and I see that Geberit has the wall flush unit I liked in London, making a very clear distinction between a .8gal flush and the standard 1.6gal. The dual flush was not availble when we bought ours. http://www4.geberit.com/is/en/living /showroom.aspx?room=15 While my bathroom is designed like one on a ship with NO shower enclosure, and the room is tiled, this is not a requirement in any way for the toilet. It just helps to clean as I can rinse off the toilet and floor after I shower. Quickly finished! Now you know...more than most people know..about wall hung toilets and why every woman loves them.

Yes, Lynn, you are hearing me correctly.
![]() I saw a neighbor's renovation, and his was designed this way. He said any Navy person would understand but as non-Navy, and no sailor it was new to me. I never added a photo of the shower installed but it is on the right wall you see in that photo. The wiring you see on the right is for radiant heat in the floor (just the 18" or so entry part). So imagine the shower heade just opposite the toilet flush mechanism you see on the left wall. The door is a wide pocket door as we designed it for potential handicap use in our future. The whole downstairs was done that way, just in case.

Interesting information. I did not know that people used that type of toilet in homes since I had only seen them in public restrooms. Might have to think about that when we put new toilets in the house eventually.

Well I'm not sure if I'll be around for 30+ years but it's nice to know my toilet might be.

Wow-I have to say this has been fascinating! I think that was the aim in our back bathroom with the shower-only the previous folks forgot that they needed to tile the walls and so the shower area must all be redone-because it has wooden walls!
