Wishing you peace
Each year our town puts on "Nature's Coastal Holiday", a display of more than 400,000 lights in a beautiful forested park. It's been four years since both of my kids have been home together for the holidays, and last night, on Christmas Eve, we all bundled up and walked through the lights together; my husband, my daughter and her husband, my son and his girlfriend, and I.
I listened to them laughing, bantering, sharing their lives, and delighting in their togetherness.
My heart spilled over with peace and gratitude; knowing that whatever I do or have ever done in this life, these kids and their shining contributions to the world are the best. The best.
I wish you, too, some moments of feeling your heart swell during this season.
Love and blessings to my DD family,
Scrapbird
