Just checking in from the road!

We are traveling in New England just staying one step ahead of the bad weather! As least until three o'clock today. We had intended to stay in Mass and Conn this year but as the rains came in we moved ahead to Vermont and NH and Maine. The weather has been glorious ... we have seen snow in the mountains ... lots of color ... but rain now as we sit in our warm Bed & Breakfast reading, watching football & catching up at DD (that would be me not my DH) and waiting for our lobster dinner in the dining room!

Glad that DH has a laptop ... I've enjoyed visiting for an hour or so each evening in our various rooms ... thanks for the company!

The gallery is rocking ... there is just so much talent here at DD!

I'm glad that you're having a wonderful New England trip, Mollie, but I sure wish you were home in Tennessee while I"m here visiting! The weather here is freezing, though. This morning it was 36 degrees, colder than it was at home in Ohio! That lobster dinner sounds delicious! Thanks for checking in!

Mollie, it's nice to know you've enjoyed your visit here in New England. We're also in New Hampshire and although I think it's a little warmer this time of the year, the fresh crisp air has been refreshing. Today I dragged dh to the last day of a Designer Showhouse high up, overlooking Lake Winnipesauke at Meredith Bay. It rained a little and we had a couple of snow flurries on the way up to the house, but it was warm and cozy inside and very nicely furnished. This is the last days of our month here in NH and we're shutting our own place down for the winter before heading home to Maryland.

Hello to all the others of you adding to this thread. It finally warmed up to 60 degrees again where I live in Minnesota. Nice to have the sun shine for a change. We missed out on a couple weeks of warm October weather; hope there is more to come!

I am eagerly awaiting a visit tomorrow with Kathie02! Lucky me that her travels are bringing her through Minneapolis!

New England is God's country..what a wonderful time of year to be traveling through and taking in all that beauty and nature!
