Default iPhone Battery problems after upgrade

I just updated my iPhone software to v3.1 and now the phone completely dies after 2 days (no usage on calls, etc.). I checked the battery this morning and it showed full, yet just now it was completely dead. What a pain! This is the second time it has completely died on me.

I upgraded last week and haven't noticed anything. That's definitely something that the warranty would cover. I bet if you just walked into an Apple store and told them, they'd swap the battery for you.

Check the way you charge it... it happened to me when I started to charge in the cradle with radio... it wasn't feet for that... and yes it would show the battery is full...

I only charge by plugging it into the wall. If it continues I'll see about getting the battery replaced later this week.

Had you updated to the 3.0 version before this update? I know when I did that one my battery life went way down and I charge it a lot more often now. Apparently the new push is draining a lot of battery quickly.

Yes, I was at 3.0.x before the update.

I think the battery life on the iPhone is really poor anyway. But I've resigned myself to that being the trade off for such a great piece of electronics.
I just plug it in every night while I sleep. Every. Single. Night.
But I haven't noticed any decrease since upgrading...
