Default What a day!

It started as a normal day, but soon went south. My husband left Secret out to run a rabbit in the yard , something we do all the time, but today she disappeared. At first I wasn't worried, figured she went down over the hill in persuit of a rabbit, but the more we yelled and searched, the more our hearts flopped. This was so out of charactor for her, I had called my neighbors, friends showed up to help look, we even drove outside my area looking for her, our search ended when the pouring rain set in, after searching for 9 hours, no one had seen even a glimps of her, at this point we were sure Secret was never coming back and truthfully thought someone had snatched her.
Sitting in my kitchen talking to our friends, I just happend to glance at the door, there sat Secret. I ran to let her in and grabbed a towel to dry her, She was bone dry and actually smelled as if she had just been bathed. My friend said she thought she heard a cardoor slam, but we couldn't see anyone. I'm not sure who took her, I'm just so grateful they had a change of heart and returned her.

Ok, that story gave me goosebumps because I'm thinking they found her soaking wet and bathed her before they returned her. It's way more fun to give when the receiver doesn't know who it was. No matter what the story I'm SOOOO glad you got her back! :O)

My heart was in my throat for you while reading the story, if our pup ever disappeared I would go to pieces. So happy for you that everything turned out OK.

So happy they let her come home-I had that happen with a cat, but it was 3 months they kept him locked inside their house-across the street-mind you, one day their small child left the door open and out came our Doo-Dah and made a bee line for me across the street on our porch!!

Oh I am so happy you got her back, what a nightmare. Our Yorkie loves to run away. I am so fortunate to have good neighbors who by now know him and bring him back. Little bugger!

I'm so glad she's back. My heart was in my throat when I read this. Mine escaped the fence the other day chasing a snake no less, my heart has just now stopped racing.

Oh, Connie, what a rollercoaster day! I'm so thankful that a good Samaritan appeared or that whoever may have taken her realized their error. I'm with Kelly ... no matter the circumstances, I am overjoyed she is back with you. Sleep well tonight!
