Default Chatroom - alternate daytime chat

Hello,

We have tossed around having the Thursday random get together chat at another time for those who can't make the usual 10pm DD time but have never taken it farther to actually picking a time and trying it out to see what type of participation would happen at another time. We have been averaging around 10-15 at the 10-11pm time frame.

I probably could even handle sticking with the current time and making time for a daytime one as well so that you wouldn't be alone if a daytime would work better for you to pop in and chat. Random chat just to get to know each other better both in regards to scrapping as well as learning more about behind the LOs or books or... Like sitting down for coffee with friends and just seeing where the conversation ends up going.

If you are interested in coming & would be able to on a fairly regular basis (not everytime but fairly regular so we don't pick a time that noone shows up for), what time would you pick? (in DD time aka Eastern Time). The poll is set up to allow multiple choices if there are a few times that you would be fine with. As well, it is public so we can see who votes for what & get an idea of individual time preferences.

Me too ... sometimes I'd be able to do both, sometimes one or the other might be better. It would be fun to have both options, though!! One can never chat too much, right???

Thanks for doing this poll!! I keep forgetting to do something like this until last minute and I've been so dang busy lately!!!!!

YAYYYY, a time I can come.

Need to take some time to work out the times in my head then I'll vote. Think anytime from your early morning till about 7pm DD time would be ok for me. I just might be doing things simultaneously, but luckily we're all multi-taskers.

Great idea Heather to poll what everyone thinks about chat times. I think at the moment with EDT we are 5 hours ahead of you in the UK. I've voted for the 4 or 5pm timeslot, which would be perfect but any of the earlier times would be cool too...Thanks for doing this!

I am thinking that earlier might just work for me, especially when school starts again. Thanks for the survey Heather

Bumping to see if we get anyone else with preferences before trying to sort out the results & good times to try for next week.

Currently looking like something around the 11am-12pm, 4-5pm, and 9-10pm time frames are looking good.

Gosh I haven't voted because my children are consistently, inconsistent with respect to when I get a free minute! I'll try to come, if I'm free, what ever time you guys decide.

Great idea to poll to see what times work best for everyone. I almost always forget about the 10pm one.

For this Thursday, shall we try for an 11am in addition to the usual 10pm chat? Those look to be fairly popular times.

For those new to these impromptu-ish chats, they are a drop in around that time, stay for as long or short as you can. They are just coffee room chats so no freebies or anything, just getting together to chat and learn a little more about each other and what is going on in each person's lives beyond just that reported on the scrap pages.

Topics range from scrapping comments about peoples' newest pages, our families and pets, our likes, questions about how to handle different situations, general coffee chat stuff. We try to keep it positive and fun.

Being that there is generally only about 10-15 in the chat, it is slower paced than the DD organized chats which have specific topics. It gives a little more breathing room as it doesn't move quite as quickly and we can learn more about each other. A good way to also get used to how the chatroom works so that you are ready for the endless fun of the DD organized chats that can move at the speed of light.

Hope you will consider joining us.
