Default Perry Mason fans

I used to watch re-runs of Perry Mason as a kid. I just got the box set of the 1st season of Perry Mason from 1957. Man it just sucks you in!

Those old shows are great, aren't they? The books are great, too. I used to read them all the time.

I've been watching Pushing Daisies while I work out - it's so fun. Wondering where I was when this was actually on tv?!

Growing up, Sunday afternoons were always devoted to mysteries... Perry Mason, Sherlock Holmes, and Charlie Chan. Fond memories!!

Pushing Daisies looked interesting, but got cancelled---is it worth watching just the season or two that were made?

When I was pregnant with DD, we had only the $10-per-month "cable," which was networks, WGN, and PBS. So during my insomnia (every night from 2:30-5:30 AM), I would get up and watch Matlock back-to-back and then Hunter. So I've seen every episode of both shows a couple of times. I really enjoyed Matlock.

Since my recent discovery of what a cutie-patootie James Garner was when he was young, I've started catching episodes of The Rockford Files on Hulu. I'm not hooked yet, but will give it another try sometime soon.

Oh, I remember Saturday nights watching Perry Mason. He always made them confess on the witness stand.

I loved the fact he alwys got the baddie to confess, ah real life never got in the way of a good Perry Mason episode (and the hair and the clothes of his assistants in the later tv movies - fabulous)

Sara H., Pushing Daisies was really aclaimed by the critics, but didn't find the audience. I loved it! Very clever characters.

Also, Sarah...Tom Sellack played a recurring role on Rockford Files as a rival P.I. named Lance. He was a riot and that's the first time I ever saw him. Be still my heart!

1957 - That was the year dh and I were married! There was no Perry Mason in England at that time so we must have started watching the show about 1958 in Hawaii. - Time goes faster than you think!!!

LOL, Phylis! I'm with you!! Jim Rockford ... such a dish. And it doesn't hurt that James Garner is an Oklahoma boy! (Go Sooners!!)

Susie, I didn't remember Tom Selleck being on "Rockford". How could one TV show hold such lusciousness?

As for Perry Mason, I always thought Perry and Della belonged together.

From what I've seen so far in season one, Paul Drake was always hitting on Della.

Putting my two cents in as a 30 something who was watching 30 something in her teens. I love all those "who dun it" shows, Catching the re-runs I remember many heated debates during comercials with my grandparents to argue my theory. I didn't realize they were available on DVD. I hope the video store has them, it would make a great afternoon with my grandpa.
