DH update

For all of you who have been praying for my DH I just wanted to give you a quick update.
He is going to have his valve repaired on Friday. Tomorrow we will leave for Pittsbirgh where he is going to have a Cath, just to make sure that his arteries aren't clogged on top of everything else. Friday is the surgery and I am scared out of my mind. He is going to be in for about 1 week and recovery time is supposed to be 4 - 6 weeks, we'll see.
I have a Hotel room close by so I don't have to run back and forth 2 hours each way and my friend is coming to stay with the kids. Good thing we have her!
Anyway, please keep praying for him, I know there is lots of that going on around here lately or , there is so much need it seems like.
I'll be able to keep in touch somewhat I would think, there is WiFi in both the hospital and the hotel and he will be out for a while. successrate is 98%, so hopefully all we be well afterward.
Just thought I'd let you know what's going on...

I will certainly pray for your husband and for you too!! Having just been through this a month ago I so understand what you are both going through. He will have a great medical team to take care of every need... and God guiding them! It's so important that you really take care of yourself. Don't skip meals... especially protein!! Take naps and get a good night's sleep... and so on. I learned from Boyd's 3 hospital stays this year and his heart surgery!! I'm going to PM you my cell number and you are free to call at any time of the day or night. I didn't miss a beat on 'what they were doing and why'... now that I am less emotional about it all, I see it as fascinating & amazing with a miracle thrown in.

I hate these times in life, when you feel so helpless and just want to get on with that person and have fun again I will keep your husband in my thoughts and prayers, and also your family. They say positive thinking can do wonders, so think positive!! Make sure to take care of yourself too!!

I hope the next week flies by, 98% is as good as it gets so keep focused
(as hard as that may be!) on the end result - a healthier dh. I think it is always harder to be the one waiting - a very helpless position to be in.
