Default Let's try this again ...

If at first you don't succeed .... I tried to get going here a few months ago and life intervened! I am hoping this time it "sticks"!!

Now that summer is over, I will hopefully have more inside time. Although I will also have a LOT more sports time with my boys!
I am trying to get a little scrap time in EVERYDAY. So far, I haven't actually been able to create anything since I am still sorting and organizing. I started out paper scrapping a long time ago! I was hoping to make the switch entirely to digital with this new start, but after sorting TEN photo boxes of prints, I'm second guessing that idea?!?!?!

My first project is a K-12 school album for my oldest who is a senior (YIKES!!) this year for graduation...

hi and welcome! Many of us made the switch from paper to digital. Do you have a scanner at home? that would help with some of the load of memorabilia, etc. I would suggest to try to keep it simple and use templates like these

Welcome back
Yep, I was a paper scrapper too. Converted 4 years ago and haven't looked back. Heather has the right idea... templates will get the job done much quicker!

I totally agree. You've got a big project to start, and making it a page or a double page for each year is still a lot but doable. You don't have to scrap chronologically you know. Scrap what matters to you and give yourself time to think about all those old photos.

If you can afford it, you might want to have them scanned for you. Then all you have to do is organize them!

Thanks for the tips! Those templates are great. I had not seen those yet! Haven't shopped for my supplies yet. I do have a scanner and have already started scanning in some of the school keepsake type stuff. And most of the school photos will be digital already so that helps. I also do plan to scrap the "best" stuff first!!! (I'm an eat dessert first type person too!!) That way I know it will be done for him to look at and share with his friends at the party. I can always fill in the other stuff later.

Just seeing this now so I'll add my welcome to DD to you, Brenda! Best of luck with the school years scrapbook project you're planning. It should be fun to revisit all the photos and memorabilia.

Welcome back. Yes for a big project to not seem overwhelming a template is definitely the way to go. Then you can add your own special accents and call it done.

I want to send a welcome to DD to you too! You have lots of photos to make lots of layouts . . . and lots of fun doing so. Can't wait to see some of them . . . especially your K through 12 book.
