Default Hello from the couch

Hi, I, too have been looking at/using/buying from DD for a long time. Recently I have been on bedrest (6 weeks down, 4-6 to go) and digi scrapping has been keeping me sane.
I was wondering, what is the etiquette for scrap lifts? I love to look at people's designs in the gallery and create from there but don't want to step on anyone's toes.
thanks!
Kristen

There's an old saying that goes '..imitation is the sincerest form of flattery' or something like that.. lots of people lift others ideas here.. usually they include that comment in the description when they upload it.. some even link back to the original HTH

Welcome to DD. Hope the rest of that bedrest flies past. Digi scrapping is definitely the best hobby in that situation! As for scraplifting, everyone I have ever asked says they LOVE it if someone scraplifts them (as long as it's acknowledged in the credits). :-)

Welcome Kristen, so good to have you here. Bedrest can't be too pleasant but at least you have time to scrap
Lynn's worn edges are png files and PSD files. The png files you can just put over top of your photo and resize to fit. With the PSD files you get 2 layers and you would clip your photo to the bottom layer to fit. Either way is very simple to use

Hi, Kristen, good to meet you! Yup, lift away, but it is only nice to acknowledge it. It might hurt someone's feelings if they recognize that you lifted their page and didn't mention it. As long as you acknowledge it, it is a real compliment!

Hiya, welcome to DD, enjoy scrapping during your bedrest, and lift away. It's a great way to get used to creating layouts.

Just wanted to add another "welcome to DD" - hope the next few weeks pass quickly for you - the scrapping should help!

Welcome Kristen! Scraplifting with credit is a wonderful way to improve my own pages! What software do you use for scrapping?

I use creative memories. Nothing fancy but it does what I need it to and I find it easy to use. And much cheaper than photoshop!

Hi Kristen, and welcome. so happy that scrapping is helping - I learn so much from other peoples layout. If nothing else, it spurs me on to learn more.
