Default New from Colorado

Hello,

My name is Andrea and have been a scrapbooker for many years, but I am finally taking the plunge in to digital scrapbooking. I just purchased PSE 9 a few nights ago and am trying to get to know my MAC at the same time. I am already struggling with unzipping files in a MAC and being able to use them in PSE 9...whn I try to add the image it is sill zipped but in Finder I cna unzip it...needless to say I have A LOT to learn!

Hi, Andrea -- welcome to DD! I was also a paper scrapper until about three-and-a-half years ago. I switched then to digital and haven't looked back. Sorry I'm no help with the Mac issue -- PC girl here.

Hiya, welcome to DD, you'll find it a very welcoming helpful place.

I always used Safari on my Mac and it would automatically unzip files when I downloaded them so I never thought anything of it. When I moved to Firefox I had to check through the preferences to find out how to make the same thing happen. Hope you work it out.

Welcome to Designer Digitals, Andrea . . . it is so nice to see you in the getting to know you forum. I have a Mac with Safari and my files unzip automatically when I download them . . . wish that I could help you with your problem. There are so many Mac girls here that I am sure that someone will happen by and answer you question. You might want to ask the same question in the "General Digital Talk" forum which you will find just above this "Getting to Know You" one.
